Impact of materials & training on learners
- “The Zenex-READ project schools were consistently better than the C1 schools and C2 schools on the learner test, attaining a mean score of 67 percent. C1 schools performed the worst overall, achieving a mean score of 57 percent. This suggests that the READ intervention is having a positive effect on schools which have had exposure to this intervention.”
- “The learner reading test also revealed that learners in the project schools were much better able to read books than the control schools. They have a higher level of phonic awareness and recognise words much quicker than those in control schools.”
